How 3D printing works, the materials we use and the precision we offer.

3D Printing

3D printing works by stacking multiple layers of a special material to create different shapes. Unlike traditional methods, 3D printing needs no cutting or drilling of materials.

Along with this technology came real advantages: people gained much easier access to three-dimensional prototypes. But the benefits don't stop there — 3D printers give users a way to bring their ideas to life and let them copy a wide range of useful objects.

Printing is done with a printer that, depending on the technology used, can produce faithful copies of even the most complex objects, from keychains to works of art.

Materials

The materials we have now, each with its colours in stock. Not sure which to pick? Write to us and we will help.

  • PLA

Rigid and precise, for decor, models and prototypes.

Polylactic acid. Made from organic materials, synthesized from sugar cane and corn starch. Tensile strength of approx. 7,250 psi.

    • Fine detail and a clean surface
    • Rigid, with good tensile strength
    • Made from renewable sources (corn starch, sugar cane)

  • PETG

Tough against knocks and moisture, for parts in daily use.

Polyethylene terephthalate glycol. Tough against impact and moisture, with few geometric errors when printed.

    • Tougher against impact than PLA
    • Not bothered by water or damp
    • Slightly flexible, so it does not crack easily

    • Green
    • Yellow
  • ABS

Takes heat and knocks, for technical parts.

Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene. Increased flexural strength. High impact and mechanical resistance. Fine texture, giving scratch resistance.

    • Takes higher temperatures than PLA and PETG
    • High impact and flexural strength
    • Easy to sand and finish

No colour in stock right now

  • TPU

Flexible like rubber, for seals, covers and bumpers.

Thermoplastic polyurethane. Elastic and resistant to wear and abrasion; it springs back after it is bent.

    • Bends and springs back into shape
    • Absorbs knocks and vibration
    • Resists wear and abrasion

Precision

0.15–0.4 mm

Layer thickness

We print with layers from 0.15 to 0.4 mm. We choose the thickness for the part: thin layers give finer detail and a smoother surface but take longer to print; thick ones suit large parts, where strength matters more than finish. If you need a particular finish, write to us when you order.

0.15 mm: fine detail

0.4 mm: faster printing

3D Preview

You can see your STL or 3MF file in 3D right on the site, before you order: upload it on the order page.

You can turn it, zoom in and look at it from every side to check that the geometry is right, with nothing to install.

3D Modelling

We can model and design parts to your needs. The more detail you give us (dimensions, sketches, photos), the better. We specialise in engineering parts, but we can try other shapes too.

You send us a request and we answer with a personal quote, before you pay anything.
